Fran is currently a postdoctoral research assistant in the Climate Lab in the School of Geography and the Environment, working on the First Rains project (PI Neil Hart) to run convective-scale ensemble simulations over Southern Africa and investigate their implications for the predictability of monsoon onset. Her research interests include tropical and subtropical meteorology, organised convection, atmospheric scale interactions, and tropical dynamics.
