In tackling climate risks and strengthening our resilience, what are the knowledge gaps, research needs, and barriers to action?

On 20th June 2022, the Oxford Climate Research Network (OCRN) hosted the 'Climate Risk & Resilience Forum' in collaboration with the Oxford Policy Engagement Network (OPEN) in person at the Said Business School) and online for virtual attendees.

The forum brought together researchers, policy makers and practitioners from across the UK and the globe, to identify knowledge gaps and barriers to action at the policy-practice-research nexus, and explore consequent needs for the research community.

The goal of the forum was to enable open, honest, engaging and fruitful dialogue, facilitated by the expert chairs for each session. The structure of the sessions was designed to encourage prolonged discussions between all participants, and to discuss and synthesis a range of perspectives on risk and adaptation in advance of COP27

Delegates joined from external organisations including the UK CCC, the Center for Climate and Security, BEIS, DEFRA, the UN Race to Resilience, the NFU, and more.
